Kanji Nomura
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1950. Graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture Junior College. Studied under garden researcher Mirei Shigemori. In addition to creating gardens, he has measured more than 100 gardens, including Katsura Rikyu and other famous gardens. Representative of Nomura Landscape Laboratory Ltd. He is an observer of the Garden Committee of the Nagoya Castle Restoration and Improvement Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the Japanese Garden Society. He is involved in the restoration and maintenance of old gardens, including the former Yoshida Shigeru’s residence in Shiroyama Park (Oiso Town, Kanagawa Prefecture). He was awarded the Tokyo University of Agriculture Landscaping Grand Prize in 2017.
